Basing decisions predominantly on costs can be tempting, but the truth is, as Red so famously put it, it can end up costing you a lot more in the long run.

There have been numerous occasions on which I have been asked to help a Company because the original course of action has not delivered the outcomes they expected! This is when, what the Companies see the cost rather than benefit. 

They don’t stop to think about the costs of NOT doing something correctly, the loss to reputation both personally and as a company,

This type of penny-pinching and short sighted approach starts to spread throughout the organisation, lowering morale, pride in the company, and ultimately resulting in a higher turnover of staff.

So the next time you are considering external expertise and assistance, ask yourself a simple question, are you acting based on the outcomes you want or are you being penny-wise and pound-foolish?
